With the title of ‘7 Valleys 60 Wing Shadows,’ The 2nd International Istanbul Triennial was held in 2013 at MAKSEM (Taksim Cumhuriyet Art) Gallery hosting 35 international artists.
The second exhibition of the International Istanbul Triennial was held between 28 May and 30 June 2013. Various disciplines such as painting, sculpture, installation, video, performance and photography were welcomed to discuss the theme of “self, the search of the self and its journey to the universe.
The theme of the exhibition was taken from the story of Simurg, in which thirty-birds chasing the truth, through the valley of the backers of the seven strains and arrive in the range of thirty birds, realizing that the truth is composed of their realities.
